K so I just had a 3" Front + 2" Rear Add-a-Leaf Leveling Lift Kit put on my 1999 dodge ram 1500 this week. So I am wondering what is the max tire size that I could put on the truck without running into any problems? Also recommendations for rim size? thanx for any help guys

I'd say 35s, you might rub at full lock though. Also you'll be running through ball joints and u joints a lot faster.. You might consider regearing to 4.56 and putting 3/4 ton axles under it if you go to 35s

I had a 3" on mine for about 2 years and I had 33x12.50R16s on it the whole time.. Didn't really run into any probs other than more ujoint, ball joint, and wheel bearing replacements. Depends how much you beat it

I wouldn't run any more than 33s, especially if you're still using stock wheels. You could run 35s, but it wouldn't be wise as you'd need wheels with less backspacing, new gears to compensate, and the D44 would start hating you pretty quick.

35s would be your max with rub, depending on wheel offset but 33s would be your better option to not run into as many probs considering half ton axles. Good luck!

I have an 01 I installed a 2 1/2 lift on, my plan is 305/70/16s [preferred] or 285/75/16s [alternate] both sizes are 32.8 to 33.1 tall [depending on manufacturer] the difference is 305s are 12.5 wide and the 285s are 11.5 wide overall. I used 16 x 8 wheels with a 4 inch back space [stock is 16 x 7 with 5 inch back space]. 35s will rub at full lock on the lower trailing arm on flat surface and elsewhere while 4 wheeling I'm told.
