Does driving with tow/haul on prevent the truck from using mds?

Will it hurt or is there any benefit transmission wise to drive with tow/haul on in the city with no load?
Example: somewhat quicker shifts or holding gears longer/less lugging.

MDS will not engage while in Tow mode, ran it that way on my Jeep commander 5.7 hemi for years and it did no damage at all, was a loss in MPG mind. No difference in shifting that I could tell.

I know on my 8 spd, the tow/haul will have a completely different part/heavy throttle shift schedule. WOT shifting was the same from what I could tell but there is no MDS and the gears will hold longer as well as downshift for engine braking.

I know in my old dodge dakota after i had to replace the trans. The shop recomended turning tow haul on in town and it would not go into the weak overdrive gear and wear it out city driving.
Im hoping if i do the same in this truck i may prolong the life of this trans a little bit.

On the 6 speed. Its a button bellow heater control buttons. Beside the 4x4 dial. Your traction control button and factory trailer brake if eqipped are in the same place.

Push the Tow/Haul button on the switch panel under your climate control on your center bezel. It is located next to the Traction Control Button.
