When you do the MDS delete, but keep vvt, is there a plug in wiring harness just for the vvt? I would rather not leave those 4 MDS Solenoid connectors just laying there to melt or short out.
Thanks

You'll be ok.

If it wasn't hot enough to melt them before the delete, it won't get hot enough to melt them after.

As to the concern about them shorting out, here is the wiring diagram for my 2013. Your 2010 is very likely the same:

As you can see, the solenoids have a continuous ground and are controlled by the PCM powering the + side of the circuit. This means that when MDS is disabled via a tuner, there will never be any power to the solenoid circuits. There will be nothing to short out.

But specifically, to answer your question, I'm not aware of any way to do away with the plugs other than just cutting them off. The MDS and VVT circuits are in the same jumper harness, so you can't just delete the jumper harness. It's possible that a VVT only jumper harness from a manual transmission equipped challenger, charger or 2500 might work, but that is just a wild ass guess.

You're over thinking this. As Ken states if they didn't melt before when hooked up,they won't melt after disconnecting them. You can cut them off if you want, then just tape them to the existing VVT harness, that's what i did on my truck 10 years ago,but i had a market for the old plugs,if you don't have a market to sell the old connectors, just tape everything to the vvt harness,or go find the vvt harness from a 6 speed Challenger,as they're non-mds engines.
