Mechanic help

For the mechanics in here.

So as I was turning at a green light, I heard a loud bang. Seriously thought someone hit me. I tried to accelerate out of the intersection and the engine just reved. I coasted into a parking lot. Put it in park and when I released the brake, the truck rolled backwards. I know this isn’t a whole lot of information but any idea what could possible have happened. Getting it towed to the dealership to have it diagnosed but thought some of you guys may have a good idea on the issue. I think it’s the transmission but ready it may be a link or something. I looked under the truck and could not see any visible damage or leaking. There was a weird hissing noise for a little while. Maybe whining noise but it almost sounded like air escaping. ‍

If your driveshaft turns when it's in gear it sounds like possibly the pinion in your rear end. That happened to me years ago. Just a thought.
