Megacab Wheels, Tires, Lift/Level.......

[Point and Flush]

My search for a new truck. may be getting closer. I was REALLY set on the Molten Red. That said, a dealer found a truck that has pretty much everything that I was looking for, but in Forged Blue. I'm just not sure about that color.

With that out of the way.......

I would like to do a couple of minor modifications to the truck once I purchase one. I can not stand ANY of the tires that RAM puts on any of their trucks. So I'll be looking to add tires for sure (either 35" or 37") and most likely better looking wheels.

Then, I would like to bump it up. Just a little (3" lift maximum). Not sure if I should simply do a level with the larger tires or do a 2.5"-3" lift.

What are everyone's thoughts?

If you have a Megacab with similar mods, I'd love to see some pictures!

If you ever pull heavy or frequently carry a lot of weight I would probably favor the 2.5 inch level with 35s. If you like to do some offloading I would do the larger lift with 37s. Just a level with 37s might rub depending on your wheel offset and won't leave you with as much room for flex.

That second one that olyelr posted looks pretty sweet. I would definitely be going with the 17 inch wheel regardless of tire size.

2.5" level won't stop some rubbing when installing 37" tires. With a different offset you can eliminate that but you may want to add larger flares as the tire/wheel combo will be pushed out from the truck with the offset change.
