Melted air vent

I had a liquid air freshener leak and melt the rubber on my air vent. Might not seem like a big deal but it’s a brand new truck and ****** me off looking at it. I do have a extended warranty and looked through the brochure , however there is no black and white on if that would be covered and I honestly doubt it would be. Any thoughts on how to fix/ anyone replace a vent before?

Warranty wont cover it it's not the manufacturers failure. As far as replacing I'm sure you can find something on YouTube.

Looks like part #14 in this diagram for a 2019 Rebel, left outlet $70. Bezel probably pops off to remove it (need a trim removal tool). Thanks for the warning to not put an air freshener on the louvers...

NEVER buy a liquid air freshener. Luckily the rubber was the only thing damaged, I caught it early enough to just have oil stains on the hard plastic parts but was able to get that out. When I googled to see if anyone else did this there were a lot of people in much worse shape. Damaged electronics, warped dash etc . Im worried it leaked into the air vent it self And caused damaged I can’t see.

I have this on my left vent next to my radio because of a leaking liquid air freshener, but it became white and won’t come off. I got some off with brute force but i’m not about to damage the **** out of this truck. I hate these POS air fresheners!

I just changed the wife's jeep wrangler Sahara unlimited radio bezel as dealership broke it during a recall. Anyways I popped out all 3 vents and it wasn't a big or hard job on that so it should just come out with some careful hands bot to break the thin delicate tabs that hold vents in place. If similar use 2 thin small screwdrivers. I used the precision ones to get behind one clip than the other precision screwdriver to get behind the next closest clip gently to loosen one side. Normally if you undo one clip and go to another the one you just loosened pops back into place lol. So take your time patience and shouldn't be that hard to do. Good luck

Same thing happened to me. I contacted febreze and they were gonna pay. They wanted two estimates.

Try that route. I just stopped caring about mine but still hope for you!

I effin HATE air fresheners. Most of them give me a ****** headache and if my vent grills melted from a leaking liquid air freshener I’m pretty sure I’d lose my nut. And my headache would get worse. I feel your pain.
