A Vega?! Weren't those the infamous leaky aluminum engines?
Gimmee dat Warhawk, though!
@MADDOG is correct. As noted, my first car was a '71 and it gave me a Master Class in auto repair. Only had minor rust issues (Southern car), at the base of the windshield (other GM cars rusted there, too). The 2300 engine wasn't horrible, other than NVH due to the top-heavy design (cast-iron head on aluminum block) - mine returned up to 30 MPG and would chirp second gear all day long as it was fairly torquey (I had the 4-speed manual). Swapping in the Buick V6 transformed the car, though.A Vega?! Weren't those the infamous leaky aluminum engines?
