Messed up what is this?

Trying to put the new shock in I couldn’t get the bolt on before it crashed up and it was dark ripped right through this. I can’t find any information on it. What is it runs from my ground where my battery negative cable is grounded to the ECM. It’s grounded right on top of it.

Into the dash as you can see there it was connected in the middle by something that looks like a fuse, maybe I don’t know. I couldn’t see well It was dark

That is not stock wiring. Someone has installed an aftermarket accessory and that looks like a power wire for it. You'll need to trace where the wires go and try to identify what it is for.

OK, thank you very much. Yeah I was wondering because the truck starts right up and all the gauges and lights and everything works so I’ll have to figure that out. Thank you.

someone run a power amp for a sound system in that truck? usually they're mounted under the rear seat. maybe there's some tell-tale signs of one being mounted there at one time.

Well that's not good if they pulled the amp and never disconnected the hot lead. Really hate these hack installs
