Missing cup holder light???

Hello. I have a 2011 2500 ST with what looks like something missing on the lower dash. Does anyone know what used to be there? I have the manual shift 4x4 with floor console. Looks like it might have been a led light??

Did you buy your trick used? It was most likely a brake controller that the previous owner had installed and took it out once the person sold the truck.

Yes it was used. There was an aftermarket brake controller mounted there that I removed and installed the factory unit where it belongs. The knock out is factory as if something is missing.

Ahh my apologies. I thought you were referring to the two small screw holes in your photo.

That square factor cut out does look factory and I would guess it's for a light. Take the dash off and see if there is a wiring harness close to that spot.

Yup - it's called (per Mopar) an 'ash tray light.' PN is 4608669AB. About $13.

I added one on my 2012 sport with a floor console. Does not make much of a difference, but I am happy I added.
