I have a 2012 Ram 1500, has anyone ever installed the MMX NO TUNE REQUIRED NON MDS CAMSHAFT? Just wondering if it's worth it.

*REQUIRES MDS TO BE TURNED OFF

*Note that this camshaft may gain even more power if the end user would like to unlock and tune the PCM*

Check with Ryan at Flying Ryan Performance (FRP) he also has some milder cams.
Pretty well any aftermarket non-mds cam is gonna require tuning to work properly
You're 12 is easy to tune,as it doesn't require an unlocked PCM

Mine runs good, pulls noticeably harder up top. Still doggy down low.
Mds is turned off with a superchips 3845.

A custom tune would probably help with the bottem end torque,by adding a bit more timing and fuel off idle and through the midrange.

I have that cam in my 2011. Its OK with the stock tune, its better with the Diablo tune, and runs best with a full tune. The stock and Diablo tune (87) both don't idle as nice as the custom tune. The bottom is nothing too exciting but it really hauls mid to high rpm. When I put my stock muffler back on, while running the Diablo 87, I feel it lost a bit of pep. ( still need to get a better muffler ) My truck with the MMX cam created a bad resonance with the aftermarket and was still there with the factory muffler and a custom Hemifever tune. Until I solve that mess, the Diablo tune works. I found when swapping tunes, It needs to be driven a bit to smooth things out each time, It must have to learn stuff.
