Jay Green is shipping me a Cam soon, Im in Wainwright we could split shipping if you want.
If you find the thread link it to me, I have a t1000 as well and can’t find the gauge option for it.Ah too bad about the A/F with the T1000. I'll need to find the Diablo forum thread that talked about it.
Did the 180 TStat and EFan swap years back. A really great mod to complement the others I have done. For the money I'm thinking about just putting a new one in.
This is what I found.
Please note that I need to do much more homework on this. Only stumbled onto it recently. I'm not very knowledgeable with these types of things so forgive me if I get some things mixed up.
Personally I think it would be great to get the AFR to display on the T1000 so HF can properly tune the truck once i get the CAM installed.
My understanding is if you run an LC1 Wideband Controller it is possible to wire it into the Trinity.

In order to hook this to the trinity you'll need an Analog Input Cable. Diablo did sell his once but may no longer be available. Seems possible to get one from Digi-Key.

This seems like a ton of effort just to data log AFR through the Trinity T1000.
Edit- Seems this feature could be setup with any AFR gauge.
Most guys just video tape the gauge with the old school T1000 Andrew.
Alright. Small update. Its proving to be a lot more difficult to give people money for parts. I've called Moe's 3 times a day every day for 2 weeks and have yet to talk to anyone. My voicemail and all 3 of my emails have yet to get a response too.
Did email HemiFever on the side and the recommendation he gave me was to go with an OEM cam because I tow and typically performance cams loose torque under 3500/4000 rpm. How much torque could a performance cam really loose under that rpm compared to the OE one? And what's the fun in an OE cam??
Feeling a bit lost here... Considering the fact I want to pair a cam with the 6.4L Manifold would that not make up the torque difference? Does the 5.7 or 6.4 injectors make a difference?
As mentioned on the pervious page a custom grind from Texas Speed might be the way I need to go. Going to call them today and see what the deal is. Thankfully HF said he'd be able to help me with a tune for any cam. I really didn't want to make a swap to HP tuners and add cost to this whole thing.
In the end I may need to piece this all together from various suppliers rather than getting a package deal. My goal of having this all delivered and installed by the end of May could be tough.
More to come.
Jay Greene's small .5 cam is generally considered to be a torque style cam Andrew, and Jay does sell it as a package deal if you want.It utilizes the stock cam phazor with no lock-out,so it keeps the majority of cam advance and retard that's available with the stock cam.If Dilligaff hasn't ordered his cam yet,you might be able to work a deal with him for 2 cam packages and save on the shipping

Ah Rick, I should've listened and done this weeks ago. Live and learn I guess. Will email Jay today for a full 0.5 kit.
The OEM gaskets and other maintenance parts I'll get locally.
Also ordering the 6.4 manifold this week.
In your opinion is it worth going to the 6.4 injector and ported options? Not sure if this would be overkill for my application?
Supposedly the 6.4 injectors are the way to go,as they should run cooler and last longer then the 5.7 injectors, but you have to tune for them, but if you're putting a cam in you'll need a tune anyways. On the ported or non-ported intake, that's a tough call, hard to justify the amount of money you'll spend on the ported manifold by the time you get it into Canada, you could put a nitrous kit on for not a hell'va lot more money, lol. Hunt up Steven Cooper on High Performance Rams Andrew,he seems to have an in with John Smith at TSP and picked up a ported 6.4 intake for less then a 1,000 bucks Canuck.Stevens over in Saskatoon, you can tell him i pointed you to him,he knows me well, lol.
Will do. Thanks!! The exchange hurts so much these days that the porting will likely be something I skip.
Good news though, ordered the JG .5 HL v2 standard kit, with PAC 1211x springs and a full set of Hellcat lifters today. 4-7 weeks till she ships.
Now to gather the head bolts, gaskets, AFR gauge and maintenance items.
Thinking I may need to do push rods and rocker shaft tie bars just to be safe.- I'm not totally sure about this stuff.
Also need to line up install.
More to come.
