I just want to thank Matt from moes. He was a big help in helping me choose a torque converter. Great service very knowledgable. I ordered it late on a Friday afternoon I'm on the east coast. He told me two weeks. One week to build and a week shipping time. It arrived today can't wait to get it installed. I always recommend him to ppl for his great service. Thnx again.

Have fun with it Paul. Tq converter is 1 of the most fun mods you can add to these trucks. Say goodbye to your tires ;)

Does adding a converter hurt milage? Never really owned any of the larger ones and just don't know.

Matt might be able to answer about the mpg I'm not sure.

David I'm hoping with me launching in 4wd that I'll keep my tires for a little longer. Lol
After talking with Matt I went with a 3k stall

With a 2600-2800 stall converter you should not notice any loss of mileage on the highway. I saw about a .5mpg loss with my 3000 stall in my daily driver. I run a 3400 on the toy truck, but I have never taken the time to check mileage in that truck...it sees WOT more than it sees regular cruise, so I doubt I get better than 8mpg in that truck...haha.

Cool. Hopefully I do this mod soon, too. It's been on my list way to long. :baby:

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on it!

It only hurts for a little while--besides that, after a 6'er you'll never notice the pain, and the results will cure all your previous pains. And you'll go faster quicker.

David's probably busy redoing his stereo for the 1000 time HAHA, I want to do this but with speaking with the dealer today the only way to not void my warranty it to have them install it and they wanted way to much money. The ******* about my engine bay mods today when getting an oil change.
