I quit smoking a week ago, and focusing on my engine bay plans has really kept me occupied in my spare time.

Yea I've basically been doing something on the truck everyday.

I'm having issues with the hood scoop leds dying. I ordered some 24v leds (instead of 12v) from an American seller on eBay. I'm hoping they stop dying!

In any case here are some cool pictures. The second was at the Florida keys over the weekend.

Finally got around to switching to the 24v leds. I took some pictures of the process minus the gluing (forgot). I know basically nothing about soldering so don't laugh if it looks like crap lol.



Good before and after example



To make it easy I soldered them in 3 groups of 6 and a group of 7



The 4 groups soldered together



Connected under the hood with disconnects. The disconnects are wired to a relay, a fuse, and a switch in the cab.





Looks better in person, you can see the individual leds like the above picture vs just a white blob
