Update, still no joy.

There isn't much to do right now until our engineers get this defined.

With all the new supported vehicles we release monthly, manufacturers update calibrations and OS monthly as well, we need to get it all defined. It takes time and is not simple.

I will reach out for a time frame, but i cannot guarantee it will be resolved quickly.


So, I can read the PCM file, but get a failed checksum. Indication file is unusable.

PCM was purchased used from a salvage yard, sent to the service FRP uses and unlocked and the correct VIN written.

I still have the original stock locked PCM.

From reading the email from HP Tuners. Apparently they have not tuned a 2024 1500 classic and need to have there engineers do something with no definition of a timeline or outcome.

I've already purchased the hp tuners upgraded mpvi4, a $250 upgrade, the 2018 plus bypass cable, for $90 plus overnight shipping total $127 and 6 licenses for $250 and engaged FRP for an unlocked PCM $250 plus 32 for shipping. Total of 282, plus paid FRP for tuning, $450 which they can't deliver until HP tuners resolution of issue.

None of this is FRPs issue. Ryan has done exactly what he said he would do and is as frustrated as I am on this issue but he's at HP Tuners mercy just like I am.

I've switch computers. Internet hosts, read the file and had a failed checksum multiple times. Downloaded hp tuners vcm suite every day and still no joy.

All this points to, in my humble opinion 1 of 3 things.

A corrupt pcm. Ok if that's the case I have already acquired another one.

A software issue with HP Tuners that they have not addressed. Or

Some additional security with the gateway module that has not been addressed with the HP tuners ers cable.

This is a process and I've even called Diablo and their response, we don't at the current time support 2024. Maybe next year.

So, I'm stuck until HP Tuners does what they need to.

The mpvi4 works on my 14, the current version of vcm suite software works on my 14.

Just not on.my 24.

I hope this clears up the questions.

PS, whether I'm reading the stock file or downloading it, it's still saving a copy to the pc. This is the file the vcm suite says have an invalid checksum. I can download/read the transmission file without the engine and the transmission file will download/read and save.

Since you can do the TCM with no problem, then it sure looks like it is unresolved file issue on their end and you are at their mercy.

I can understand your angst after dropping so much $$$$ on it already..

Thanks for the feedback. Tuning is expensive but the effects far out weigh the costs.

If it just fixes the minor issues the truck does then I'm a happy camper.

Long story short, in for a penny in for a pound. I've spent far more to achieve less.

HPTuners only listing the etorque as supported for that year

I have 2, my avatar is my 14 RT, the 24 is a classic and non etorque. Yeah, my mistake, I read through the supported on the HP tuners site but it didn't register the etorque would be different.

The first through the wall always get hammered.

Update, HP Tuners came through with an engineering fix, but low and behold it fixed the checksum for the engine, but now the software Update they published will not read the transmission.

Before the Update I could read the transmission now, the transmission is not even listed as an option. Go figure.

Perhaps this is the correct way they have updated their software but I'm not certain. I am using g this as a learning moment.

More to come, however I was able to read the engine file. But no joy on transmission

Geez, sounds like trying to get USB drivers / software to work on Windoze.

Just send them another BUG Report and wait for the next update. For what they charge for the "credits", it would seem they would be all over this.

So the problem wasn't your internet connection?? Imagine that... lol
Glad they at least got the first issue resolved, even though they created another one!

Would you mind making sure you wifi is turned off on laptop on the next read & write with HPtuners to see if its needed or not.......just some info others may need....I have a 2014 so it doesn't apply to me .

Hopefully when the smoke clears on your project that they are able to formally list the later Classics as supported
