Muffler Advice

For you California Guys ( I know unfortunately it has to pass CA smog) what mufflers have you put on? Just looking to add a new muffler, maybe some tips. Already have the S&B CAI and now that I have a work truck I mostly only use my ram for road trips so I don't want a drone but I would love to be able to step on it on the way to the grocery store on the weekend and hear her pur. Let me know!

if you're worried about the smog inspection, I can tell you now your CAI won't pass. As for mufflers, I had a corsa cat back on my last vehicle, passed with no issues. Did have to take my Vararam off for the inspection.

Anything behind the cats (cat backs or just a muffler swap) should pass.

S&b CAI is smog legal. If you don't have the CARB sticker for it, just email them. They sent mine for free and I had it in a few days.

Mufflers don't effect smog in CA. There is a noise limit of 95db but I don't think the smog shop will care as it doesn't have to do with the inspection/test.

I've played that game before. I had a CARB sticker that came with an CAI back in the early 2000s, the smog shop still failed me. May have been a one off incident and maybe different now though.

I have jba shorties and a Borla Crate motor muffler in place of stock with a turn down on it. Clips to come.
