hello i have a 2018 ram sport night edition with 5.7L hemi. i want to do a muffler delete but i want to know does it consume more gas and reduce MPG? some people say it reduces low end torque but that was on older forums im not sure who to listen to so if anyone knows from experience or is a professional i would love your help please! also i am looking for a tri fold heavy duty bed cover for a short bed.

It won't consume more gas unless you can't keep your foot out of it because it sounds good to you.

You may lose some low end torque by opening up the exhaust system that much. You might consider getting an aftermarket muffler that sounds good.

I don't use covers on my trucks so I can't help you with the hard cover. I'm sure if you look at some of the "Exterior" threads here in the 4th gen section you'll find quite a bit of info on various hard covers folks use.

You won't gain anything from a bed cover other than a lighter wallet. That being said I have had a hard cover on my last 4 trucks and there's no way I could ever go back to just a toolbox. Its really nice being able to lock up all your shit and not have to worry about it. If i need to haul anything big I use my trailer.

I've had a hard cover, a tri-fold and several roll-ups. I like the roll-up the best because it is the most versatile by far.

You wont consume more gas with a muffler delete except for when you keep nailing the throttle to hear that engine roar lol.

we offer a lot of options for a muffler kit or muffler delete kit if you are interested check them out here https://gotexhaust.com/i-23647003-edge-products-32450-pulsar-module.html .

also if you would like a quote on a bed cover message me.

I bought a hardcover, the undercover se, was like $700 shipped and took about 30 minutes to install by myself. Is great for price if you want a black cover or painted, but painted is like $600 more, fits perfect and gives truck a sporty look. Haven't noticed any better mileage, but bed is always dry, love the hard cover and has two twist knobs and can be removed in seconds.

I have a muffler delete on my 17 ram sport. I love the way it sounds. MPG is the same and honestly I didnt feel any power loss. Go for it!

Your not going to lose any noticeable torque from simply removing the stock muffler and it wont change mpg at all. Your losing your baffles/chambers whatever so it will be much louder and possibly choppy when decelerationg due to back pressure but thats is. Removing a factory muffler doesnt open the actual exhaust flow enough to drop low end enough to be noticeable
