which is a good band clamp to use for the mufflex dodm80...i keep reading that the front one that comes with the kit always has a leak any help would be appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things about the lap joint clamps!

You could also slather some high temp RTV on the joint and slip it in. It works VERY well at eliminating or preventing leaks.

You could use the ones off the stock muffler. That is what I did for my delete.

I will definitley use some rtv, I just wanted to make sure I get the correct one so that it wont leak...thanks for the help

Be carefull using a band clamp with the stock pipe... there is a small stud or factor nipple that keepss the oem muffler in a groove. If this isnt removed the band clamp is worthless.

Thanks I will keep a look out for that when I take the stock muffler off.

I had my delete pipe notched so it would work the same way, then put the band clamp similar to the muffler, just to the rear of the nipple, and in front of the nipple on the rear pipe.
