That's a win-win... Yes though... Longer equates to quieter, but remember, louder doesn't necessarily mean more HP. Did you watch the vid I linked above?

Also keep in mind that the muffler will get a little louder and cackle more once used a while.

Just remember, they DO get louder with use. Not nuts louder, but louder. My G8 cackles MUCH more than when the system was new. I wouldn't classify it as loud though. The Corsa I'm going with is loud, but not mind numbingly so.

We all perceive noise differently.

So I went to Mufflex and had the exhaust done this morning! I ended up going with the DOD14. The owner of Mufflex has a '12 Ram and he has the DOD18 on his with 5 inch tips which sounded pretty good and his is way past broken in so I got a good idea of the sound. He said that the 14 without the tips would sound pretty close to his with the tips so I went with that! He could have done the same setup as his but I wasn't crazy about how the 5 inch tips looked. All in all I'm very happy with it but I hate the way the ECO system makes it sound when it kicks in. It sounds like the truck is missing or something. Other then that it sounds great!! I'll post a clip of how it sounds later when I get a chance

Glad you're happy! MDS does make them sound odd and is one of the reasons I bought the 24". My G8 sounds pretty loud in DOD (MDS).
