Easy install by myself, high quality top. Tailgate can be open or closed while closing the top. Kept most of the water out after a good cleaning with my pressure washer.

It is solid and has a little weight to it. Mine looks great, keeps 99% of water out. 40-60 pound Sterling?

I have had the BackFlip VP for almost 2 years now and love it. Best of luck to you with yours.

Weighs about 50 pounds. I called and asked for the phone special and got it for $809 shipped no tax, which was 10% off the 899 price.

I've been trying to figure out what I want. I keep coming back to the Bakflips because I really like the look. The price is making me hesitate, though.

Fyi, do an online chat with multiple major auto websites at the same time and you can get them down on the price.

That is nice looking. The one thing that is a little annoying with my fibermax is that you have to open the cover then close the tailgate then close the cover for it to work properly. This design I like better with the ability to have the cover closed and then close the tailgate. I wonder how it will do with water around the tailgate and the end of the cover?

It looks very nice, very similar to my undercover flex

Sorry to hijack, but how do you like the Flex? That's another one I have on my list to consider.

I like it that you can open and close the tailgate without worrying about having the top open. I have the BakFlip F1, which I love, that has to be open when closing the tailgate to prevent damage to the seal. I work in Mexico and cross the border daily. I always have to get out of the truck and open the tailgate myself to prevent the border agents from closing it with the top in the down position.

Do you have any issues with water intrusion without the seal overlapping the top of the tailgate?

That annoyed me too, I have a g2 on mine now. The other thing was when fully folded (which mine was often) losing rear visibility (which before I added the backup cam was a nightmare) but still annoying after because I usually want to see the cargo (loose round bales, goats ETC) and hated not being able to.

Next truck I'm getting a rollup.

The new MX4 is made of aluminum. Personally, I think I would prefer FRP (F1, Fibermax, or Undercover Flex) over the aluminum.

After pressure washing the truck, there was water than had run down the sides in various spots. But nothing properly packed gear could handle. Also I should mention I was honestly trying to give it a good worst case scenario, and felt it did well. After a rain storm last night with the truck parked, no water in the bed.

Mine was the same, or better when first installed. Its a nice cover, I liked how it fit flush. After one year it dripped a bit at a couple hinges, however. After two years it leaked pretty bad. If I wanted to keep cargo dry I had to wrap it in a tarp.

It looks like the same design concept, hope they improved the hinge sealing. I think the cold weather use may have been a factor in my case. The hinge rubber seemed to have pulled away from the panels in some spots.

Bak Industries and Undercover are owned by the same parent company. Bak has changed their hinges and are now like the Undercover Flex hinges. I'm not sure exactly when that change took place, but I've seen both kinds of hinges.

Older Bakflip G2 hinge. Might be hard to see, but the seal is rounded and soft.

Undercover Flex hinge. The seal is flat and harder.
