Just wanted to share a few pics and some info on my RAM and a few thoughts on upcoming mods for it. I have had this truck just over a month now. I have always been a GM guy and I still love Cadillac (can't wait for that new CTS-V with LT4 :naughty:) and select Chevy's. I was close to pulling the trigger on a new Silverado, but decided to look at the RAM. I have always loved the look of the 4th gen RAMs and have been in a few of them. The ride felt nice and smooth and I know they get up and go. Well, after test driving a couple of them, I was sold. The RAM rides better than the Silverado, is more powerful (by far over the 5.3, can't comment on the new 6.2 as I have not driven one), has a nicer interior that is a bit more comfortable and better thought out and overall the RAM is just much better looking IMO. I was thinking I was going to buy new but the dealer had this certified 2013 Big Horn w/ 8 speed that I really liked. Decided to go for it and save some dough since a new Big Horn would have been a little over my budget. One owner lease, 30,000 miles, well maintained. Got the dealer to throw in a max care lifetime warranty for $800 bucks which was pretty neat. So far all I have done is...took off the RAM 1500 badges, threw on a tonneau cover and put in some factory projectors. Also threw on some side steps, mainly for my wife. She needs to hoist herself up there without them. For the future I am planning:
-VaraRam air grabber
-MOPAR cat back
-MOPAR 2" lift
-Moes 87mm ported TB
-34" or 35" tires of undecided brand
-Factory LED tail lamps
-Few other minor aesthetic mods, debating on taking off the Big Horn and 4x4 badges. Probably will, just haven't got around to it.

I would save some money on the MOPAR stuff and buy the parts from the real manufacturers, but I want those parts to have that MOPAR stamp so dealers aren't giving me crap later if I need to cash in on the warranty. Hopefully they won't give me trouble with the light swaps. Aside from warranty stuff, I like keeping things pretty factory on my vehicles and I appreciate it when I see it around. Gives vehicles a nice clean, professional look IMO. Any opinions/suggestions, my eyes and ears are open. Very pleased with all the great info on this forum. :favorites13:

I found them on Ebay for $340 bucks + $40 shipping. They are used off a 2014 Laramie. Literally in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier with them especially for the price. Add another $135 for the adapter harness from Retroshop.

Nice truck! I put the factory projectors on mine to and I love them. I ran the factory ones in the front but when it came to the rears I went with the ones from Retro Shops. They were half the price and look exactly like the factory L.E.D. My friend has a 2014 Laramie and they are identical from everything we could see. This is a pic of the front of my truck. I added the Laramie grill inserts and cut holes and added factory tow hooks as well. Wich is not an option on the Express. I think the lights completely change the look of the truck.

Thanks guys. My wife keeps wanting to kill me for buying stuff lol. I really will be cooling it though. I had an extra grand left from what I thought would go toward a more expensive truck so couldnt help but buy the projectors. I need to stay away from ebay though.

Nice truck! I put the factory projectors on mine to and I love them. I ran the factory ones in the front but when it came to the rears I went with the ones from Retro Shops. I hear you! I also think the projectors give the front end of the truck a whole new image. Just a beautiful looking headlamp. Yours looks real great with the white bumper/grill cross bars. Thought it was a Longhorn til I read your post. I have been thinking about replacing my inserts but I read somewhere its a PITA. Plus I do like the look with the horizontal bars. Makes it a tad different. Oh and yes for the tail lamps, the retroshop ones will def do. I actually forgot about those!

Thx I was actually going to use the slat inserts like yours but the Laramie grill came up on e Bay. I got it for 40.00 so I couldn't pass it up. Just took the inserts out and put then in my outer grill. The inserts aren't that hard to change out if you ever need to.

I actually like the Bighorn slats! Kind of unique to Bighorns...
