I like the truck, I like the goodies and toys, but a few things are bothering me. This is the worst designed center console ever. Everything in the top part dumps all over every time I open it to get at the bottom storage bin. Has anyone seen some sort of organizer for the top part that separates it into a few little trays or compartments so this doesn't happen? I thought I might glue some eggshell-type foam into the lid and use some lego and glue to make some compartments to hold stuff. The foam would press down on the trays and keep whatever is in them from dumping when I open the lid. As it is now it is all completely useless space.

My other major complaint is the big tow mirrors are not power fold. Apparently I could get the smaller mirrors with power fold, which is stupid because it isn't really necessary with the smaller ones, is it? The GM trucks and the Fords all have power fold mirrors apparently but Dodge didn't think of it? I would give up the heated steering wheel any day for power fold mirrors. I assumed the Laramie would have this but...no. But that's an exterior discussion!

Issue #1: When new, you have to slam the top lid down pretty hard in order to completely latch. Then, it won't open and spill all over. I think most had this issue because they were being too gentle when closing the top lid.

#2: I agree. I would never want tow mirrors unless they were powered.

#1. You tip a organized desk over, things get unorganized...relation, i think so.

#2. Step out of truck, fold mirrors, get back in truck, problem solved. :)

Love it!

I agree about the organization of the upper compartment. Even if you close it right you still have electronics flopping around every time you open it.

Funny, my center console is completely empty. I put everything in the bin in front of it so it's easier to get to. If I put anything in the top one, it'd be something like a tablet or something.

As for the mirrors, I knew going in I didn't want the trailer mirrors due to the fact that they don't electronically fold. Personally, I fold my mirrors in on the highway. Less drag = better MPG so I use them everyday to and from work 26 miles each way.

i kinda spazzed out on the dealer when i had the tow mirrors installed but they were not power folding, but come to find out, no one has em for the ram...

i have the original power folding ones too (in boxes)...but would rather have the tow mirrors and manually fold vs the powered ones and have to stick on the goofy extentions when i need to tow.

center console, yeah, it's irritating, but i don't keep much in there except like work keys, badge, and a couple small items.

You want to sell your power fold mirrors, then?

Yeah my trucks window sticker said power folding mirrors, something I noticed after I bought the truck, so I get all excited about it and go look for the button
Come to find out when you get the towing package it takes that feature away due to the towing mirrors being put on.

1) the tip console is meant for a gun to protect yourself from people trying to carjack your sweet truck.
2) power fold mirrors? Put some lift on it and get the mirrors over every other vehicle you would park beside.

My answers as I had the same problems.

Funny....but you don't have to tip over the desk to get to the space below it like you do on these consoles. I think the top lid being made the way it is AND the space below it just being, for lack of a better term, a huge hole to put stuff in, is it is the stupidest thing on the truck.

And yes, non-power folding towing mirrors is just a huge fail on dodges part, as the other makes have it, so they can too.

Don't try to make it sound like every other truck out there has them, they don't.

My 2011 F150 XLT CrewCab 4x4 that I drive for work does not have power folding mirrors.

In fact, I've never had a truck with power mirrors... and I've had a lot of trucks, for both personal and professional use.

What does a man need power folding mirrors for anyway?

I'm totally baffled as to a good purpose for these.

I've never had a mirror hit something while opening the door, the outside door edge can hit other vehicles, or at a gas station, the outside doorskin could hit the high curb or yellow post...

Pulling in a garage, possibly? I would never do that, because I use my mirrors to back up. I don't use the windshield mounted rearview. I guess it comes from 26 years with a CDL

Do I see the value in power adjustable mirrors? Absolutely.
Heated mirrors? ogoshyes.

Power folding? meh. not so much.
