I'm looking to get a 40-42 inch curved light bar for my front bumper. How many watts is yall's light bar? I'm looking to get one off of eBay. Also I purchased a rocker switch off of amazon and most of the light bars I see on eBay have the one with the switch built in. I don't like that switch. Is there a wire harness yall can recommend that is the right wattage for the light bar and the switch. I just want to do every properly and not screw anything up. When it comes to wiring lights, I'm clueless.

At 40" you're in the amperage that you'll need a relay. At that point, you can use any switch you want.

Is there a wire-harness I can get that will have the relay and not have that other switch attached to it.

I was under the bumper a minute ago looking at the plastic cover. I have a 2015 1500 express. Will a light bar even fit in the bumper right there? I just looked a little small to me.

Yes it will. You can fit up to a 42 inch. Just get any harmed you see and buy a separate switch that you like. They are pretty cheap.

I also see wire harnesses with 1 lead or 2 leads. Which one would I get for a 42 inch light bar? Also what is a good wattage for a light bar to be? I see some that 240 watt, 300 watt, and so on.

I have had both. Not a huge difference. Just purchase a lightbar that comes with the harness.

Had to switch my switch location. I kept hitting it with my knee when I got in an out of the truck.

Also ordered a replacement panel.

Is it advisable to mount a bar in the bumper with aluminum instead of steel? Much easier to cut and drill.

?????????? Looking at where the lightbar needs to be mounted it requires a mount that raises it above the tans cooler. Can anyone one point me in a direction as to where I can find some.
