What roof mounts is everyone using? Any issue with it interfering with weather stripping?

Im sure all of them will require cutting the weather stripping, I couldn't think of a way it would be possible to get around that. As for mounts, there is a wide variety and I imagine most folks use the same brand as the light bar they purchased.

I'm sure the off brand bars would require you find another mount. If you decide to purchase one, question the sealing on it, I've heard cheaper off brands can allow water in eventually.

Yeah I was looking at bars on eBay and Amazon seemed like guys were having good experiences with those. Not sure those come with the mounts

It's a tough call. I put it on my list of mods and figured it would be the last as I wanted to assure I purchased a good product and new it wouldn't be cheap. It's always raining in FL. Lol... got lucky and found mine on craigslist for $350. It was originally an $800 setup. Over a year and a half now between me and the seller and no leaks and it is very functional and gets the job done. Can see every bug and spec of dust with it, as if I were driving while snowing or hitting warp speed in the millennium falcon!

Do these fit 1500's? I was looking at N-Fab mounts any one have experience with them?

Yes, these are on a 2014 1500. I don't have any experience with N-Fab, but I'm sure they would be fine.

Nice, thanks man! I like yours too bc they mount along the windshield and not in the door jamb

Appears the bar is on sale, marked off $200 right now. Total setup would be $600. You can go smaller or same size with a straight bar for cheaper, looks like all their light bars are on sale.

I believe you had concerns in another thread about mounting above the roof line. Mine are mounted level with the roof, maybe a half inch or so lower.

Does anyone know how to take the bumper insert out of a 2016 1500. I just bought a curved 42" bar and now I can't figure out how to get the plastic out without cutting it.

Should pop or screw out, not sure about your model. Some pics might get you an answer.

It pops out. It's easier to do it from the inside of the bumper. I drove my vehicle up on ramps and worked from inside. There are clips, press them down and push.

Perfect, thank you. It looked like that was what I was supposed to do but I didn't want to break anything haha.

Grill Light Installation

I have waded through the majority of these posts and I searched the forums but had no luck with my question.

which is, those with the Active Grill Shutters how do you mount a light bar or "neon" lights in the grill? are the shutters in the way? is it easy to access once you remove the cover over the radiator?

*edit*
Bump???????
