So hopefully I can have this here, it is a mopar so how can anyone be to mad :) Dave did it too, so im sticking with that ;)

Anyways I bought a new Jeep today. Picking it up in 13 days when I can get out of town with a trailer to pick it up! But for now here it is

All i have is his pictures haha

So its a 4.0 inline 6, its 4x4 with 1990 jeep comanche shortbox 4x4, has new windshield, new shocks, new steering stabilizer shock, new battery, new rear driveshaft and u joints, and new steel brake lines. balljoints, axle u joints, axle seals and brakes were done 35k ago.

He bedlined the rockers, flares and hood and theres minimal rust on the rest of it, a little but nothing eating away at it!

Plans for it right now are just drive it for a while, hope it doesnt blow up haha. Ill probably repaint or bedline the rest of it, in a different color, thinking mopar blue and black.

Just needs a little bit of work to be insureable, new signal light, and e brake line. but other then that it runs well from what i could tell, its tranny seems strong, and clutch engages nicely!

hes put some good work into it with different axles, leaf over and lengthened drive shaft. with 256000km on it, it seems pretty strong still haha. hopefully it stays working! so it can see the trail and bush some more!

That's awesome!! If you do get it done in mopar blue and black, that would be one of the coolest jeeps I've ever seen. Count me as a vote for the blue and black :waytogo:

Looks like a fun truck! I had a line on one, was going to buy it, but it is NOT 6'4 friendly.
I couldn't even start to fit in it. :-(

Oh man it would be awesome. When I was getting my Line-X done, I overheard a conversation the Line-X guy had with another customer about spraying his Harley, so I know that getting that thing done in mopar blue and black would NOT be cheap, but dear sweet jesus it would be worth it lol :head3:

Ahh okay gotcha, that's awesome! See I'm not technically inclined...at all. So I always make the stupid assumption that people have to take their trucks to places to get this stuff done. :hidesbehindsofa:

And yea, since I bought my Ram, all my other hobbies have taken a backseat and now all my extra money is going towards mods.

hahaha thats where the money is spent! i could spend 400 bucks getting an ebrake line put in, or buy the parts myself for 30 bucks and figure it out. Im not to mechanical but i have time, and am willing to learn!

once i get a lift on my ram im pretty sure itll take a backseat and comanche will take first place :p

You're a better man that I am because I know I'd break something really, REALLY expensive if I started trying to do my own mods lol. But yea once you get a decent amount of stuff done to the truck, I definitely understand the priorites shifting. I'm buying the Vararam air grabber at the end of the week, along with a Y pipe, and then I'm done with mods until around August because I just don't have the money.

hahaha thats whats so great about these things. the simplicity. 23 year old vehicles were alot more straight forward then these vehicles with all the safety control modules blah blah blah! alot of the parts from old jeep cherokees transfer over too! thats what the axles are from haha. grill, hood, lights, lots of interior, body panels, lift kits, wheels, all that stuff are all the same!

Vararams awesome! youll like it, haha are you getting the prepainted orange?? or just textured black?

Oh I'm going with the Hemi orange. I can't resist. I get paid thursday night, so first thing Friday morning I'm getting online and ordering that bad boy. I can't wait to get it running.

My Ram is only my second vehicle, my last one was a Ford Escape that I had for a little over 200,000 miles, so I know exactly what you're talking about with the old model vehicles. Even for a guy like me who doesn't know much about mechanical stuff, I could do A LOT to that thing in terms of maintenance and mods. So it's a mixed bag of feelings with the ram...I finally have something that's badass and has a ton of HP, but I'm more scared to play with the insides hahah

Sweet! thats going to look nice in there. there textured one i have is terribly hard to keep clean!

ahah yeah i know what you mean! im really afraid to do anything permanent to my ram. i like mods where if stops working all i have to do is pull it of and no one will be the wiser >:D welding my steps onto my frame rails was nerve racking haha

That's good to know, I hadn't even thought about keeping it clean.

But yeah, so far the only "permanent" mod I have done is the 18" magnaflow because my shop welded it on. I guess you could call the Line-X a permanent mod too but I'm not worried about that lol. And yeah, all my friends and family (especially the girlfriend) have been telling me to not do any mods because it will void the warranty. I just keep quite and nod my head and then go home and get on RF hahah.

To me, I'd rather pay the price that I may accidentally void the warranty on some random part than keep a stock truck.

And those should just bring you added value down the road. Especially with the 24" magnaflow, I can't see anyone complaining about that.

The only one that could end up screwing me is the welded steps haha. but now with this comanche, i will be able to keep my truck in great shape and last me many years to come :)

Good! I'm glad to hear it. I'm the kind of guy who buys a vehicle and then drives it until the wheels fall off. I plan on my truck lasting me for years to come too.
