My tail light doesn’t appear to have a place for the brake light bulb. It also looks different then any taillight shown online.

Are you asking a question? Those taillights look like the LED factory tails with the reverse halogen bulb in from the bottom, the reverse light is the only serviceable bulb there.

Does that mean I have to replaced the entire taillight since the brake light is out.

What did you have to do to fix the brake light? I've got the same problem.

Check your 3rd brake light for a bulb out if you haven't already,as it'll show up on the dash as a brake light out

Stand behind the vehicle while someone hits the brakes or activates the turn signals. If they are OEM led, it only takes a few bad led chips to cause an error light to be tripped. While standing behind the truck, look for any of the LEDs to be out compared to the opposite side. It may be hard to notice them, but they should be fairly apparent. If you do have some out, the only way to fix it is to buy new housings.

I have a similar issue, my 2014 RAM 1500 blinker on the passenger side started blinking fast at the dash, "Ah, I have a bulb out" However, everything was working as it should and then it stopped. "Hmm wth?" Couple days later it started blinking fast again but this time I get a dashboard message telling me the right rear blinker bulb is out. So far, everything is working so to be safe, I picked up replacement bulbs, took the taillight out only to discover the blinker/brake light is enclosed and non-serviceable. Thinking some cool aftermarket taillights might be my fix if this keeps up, but, I might get lucky by breaking the connection and then re-connecting.. lets see what happens.
