Neat trick for releasing broken PCM tabs

This guy has a neat trick for releasing the PCM connectors if you've broke the pins on the locking tabs.So far i've been lucky and very careful when releasing the lock tabs,so i've never broke one yet,but if i do,i'm keeping this guys trick in mind,lol

Man!! Im sure glad the trucks pcm is not like the cars and is easily accessible !!!!
That looks like a pain in the ass, especially the connector access he broke!!

They are a bit tougher to get at on the cars that's for sure. I've done a few cars and i usually unbolt the top cross bar totally on the pass side and take out 1 bolt on the drivers side and leave the other bolt loose,that way you can pivot the cross bar out of the way on the pass side,but you're still gonna leak a little blood if you're not careful reaching in to grab the pcm,lol.
So far i've been lucky and never broke the lever,but i'm gonna keep his buttar knife trick in mind if i do,might even slightly grind down one of the wifes buttar knifes when she's not looking,lol

Why would I listen to the guy that broke the first rule of auto mechanics? If it aint broke don't fix it. I guess he was chasing some HP or something and he is cool, so maybe he is ok

I'm usually like a bull in a china shop trying defeat some of these connectors. I just don't do it enough. I always marvel at some of the u-toob channels like SMA. Eric O will be like "oh boy.. this is going to be fun..". 2 sec later as the connector pops right apart for him he's like "My lucky day!". No Sir. You are just very good at it.

He's putting a turbo on his 3.6 Challenger Mike,and the first unlocked PCM was giving him issues ,so he had to pull it again to send back to Diablo for another unlocked one.

So far i've been lucky and never broke the lever,but i'm gonna keep his buttar knife trick in mind if i do,might even slightly grind down one of the wifes buttar knifes when she's not looking,lol

Dont get caught grinding one of the house knifes, don't wanna get banned from driving the "1320"..lol

Wow you went digging,lol. At least the trucks are easy to get at compared to the cars,lol. I think CJ's link might still work for the pieces you need to repair it.
