As you may or may not know, I had a Magnuson super charger put on my truck. I had the shop that did the install write a custom tune for me since diablo sport doesn't have one. The tune was working great till today. It felt like there is very little throttle control. At times it would not have any throttle response at all when you step on the gas. And then at other times when I would put it in gear it would rev up to 1500 rpm and I would have to hold it with the brake. I am bringing to the shop on Monday for them to fix it, but I really have no clue what is going on. Does anyone know of a custom tune available for this?

Did you try to boost the throttle response using your diablo ?

If you have a wide band air/fuel gauge that can log we can take a look at your current tune and see see what is going on.

Thanks

there wouldn't be a custom tune that's just out there for your truck, they are custom to your truck. what works on one doesn't always work on another. to me It sounds like it's a throttle response / throttle body issue or a leak some where in the line. check the mounting of the sc to the throttle body, after running it for tuning its possible that something could have come loose and isnt sitting quite right.

This is correct I agree ^^^ there will not be a custom tune for your truck available for "download" if you will, one has to be written as he stated, and in order to accurately do that we need to be able to monitor your air/fuel tables with a wideband air/fuel gauge that is capable of data log. However their might be something loose as stated above as well, check that everything is still tight, and all sensors are plugged in securely as well. Keep us updated :)

Thanks. I am going to take a look after posting this. I just drove it this morning and its fine. It seems to only happen when it gets hot(driving for about 45 minutes or so. I did have the 180 degree thermostat put in. Something seems to happen when the truck gets hot. Are there any specific gauges that I should be data logging on the trinity to help out with this?

Thanks. I am planning on a 2/4 drop next. I am so glad to have found this site, because when you go thru and check out other trucks you can see how big of a change it is.

i would get in contact with either Hemifever or Whitelightning. i am not sure if either or both of them can custom tune you since you have boost, but i would go that route so that you are able to send them your data log info and they could diagnose your problem.

Does the RPMS jump up but not move when you say the throttle feels off? Check your trans fluid level. That could do alot of your stuff and after the trans comes to temp it will act funky, even a quart off will cause it.

Didn't even think of that. The truck does move when the rpms go up. I did have them install a new converter at the same time, so maybe it is the trans. Thanks I'm going out for a spin and let it get up to temp. Then I will check the trans fluid.

When they did the install they filled it and prob didnt get it all the way up to temps even with doing a few pulls on the dyno. I have had to top mine off twice since the verter install and it took a good amount of driving to cycle it.

Wow. Just checked the tranny fluid and when I checked it cold it was over the Hot marks. Took it out for a drive about 5 mile and trans temp was 138. When I checked it then it was over the angled part of the dip stick. Also the fluid was a little bit foamy. Now I have to see the best way to take some out, or do I leave it in and drive it thinking it may be needed when it breaks in more? I am guessing get it out of there. Little help.

Quick way is to get an vaccum pump you use to bleed brakes and suck some out. Long way is to drop pan and start over.

Call Arrington Performance and have AJ write and send you a tune.
He's probably the best in the business for blown Hemis.

Thanks for the info. I just dropped the truck back off and I told Matt the owner about Arrington. He told me they are the only ones that have a custom tune for the truck. He thinks that it is just one parameters that needs to be increased. It seems to only act crazy after its hot. Before that holy crap this thing is a beast. Can't wait for it to be up and running so I can drive it around a little more.
