Well I was driving my uncle's truck ('03 Dodge Ram 1500) today running errands. Got around the corner from the house and it just died. Won't start back up & had to push it home.

Motor spins over but doesn't even hint at starting. I'm at a loss of what to do.

Any ideas on what this could be? Someone said the fuel filter is clogged or the fuel pump died. How would I test this before I go through the trouble of having to drop the tank?

It threw 3 codes

P0456
P038
P038

P0456 is more than likely a bad gas cap

P038 is an open Intake Air Temp sensor signal on some vehicles, is that the complete code?

Nothing's loose, all fuses are good, relays are good.

Took the intake off, poured a little gas/starter fluid into it, started right up and ran for a little before it died. So I know now the problem is fuel.

Going to drop the fuel tank an switch the filter out for a new one an check the pump also.
