So my truck is going need new rims and tires. I got this truck with 22" rims and street performance tires on them. The 22's are chrome and in NJ chrome doesn't work to well since I have winter salt and summer beach salt air. With that sad the rims are crapping out badly, one of my front tires is leaking, got it fixed, back to leaking again. I know a shop before told me its my rims thats causing issues with the tires on inside. So with all that I am figuring I should start looking at a new set up. Now I would like to get rims that can be used all year round that won't get F'ed up from winter or summer salt (if that is possible?). My truck is Silver with tinted tail lights and tinted windows. I am liking the silver black look so I would like the rims to either be all black or black with some silver involved. With that said I need help with picking them! So if you guys have any suggestions please post a pic or just the name of the rim so I can look!

Oh yea, should I go with 22's still or 20's? I am looking at wanting to do a lift possibly.

No wheel material really stands up to the winter salt up here. Since Winter tires are mandatory, most people I know (and I do the same) have their winter tires on separate rims, most often than not just plain steel rims.

As my summer rims (17" Mags), they are not too bad even though they were previously used in the winter time, but I intend to Plasti-Dip them to a Flat Black.

The plasti-Dip process would definitely help protecting your rims from the elements in both the summer and winter. Just a thought.

Yea I always thought about getting a winter set of steelies but never seem to find a set for good price, so many people up here ask way to much for them. Someone told me he just waxes his rims and that helps with the salt. Not sure but have always thought of plasti dip.

I'd stick with 20 or 18 I have 20 and I like them but 18 with a little extra sidewall rubber looks good to me. I'm personally not a fan of huge rims. Max I'd ever go is 20.

Right now I have the pacer ridgeline in 20x10 with a -25 mm offset20140805_173519_zpsbkg3lyg6.jpg

I am saving up currently and trying to invest in a set of American force rebel ss5 I feel will suite my truck very well. If you can afford a pricey rim American force makes dome incredible stuff

American force rims are nice! Just googled them, and damn there $$$ close to $900 a rim, unless I read wrong but I saw qty saying 1 lol.

I think I'm going do 20s and no more 22s, not the style I'm going for.

Side note: I want your hood :)

If you like black, and these are powdercoated, maybe KMC Slides?

Those are nice rims! Question, if rims get powder coated will that help prevent pitting or any issues with the salt in winter?

Yes American for wheels are definitely money! The set I want are the exact dimensions of the rim I have now and are $650 a piece

Powder coating is one of the strongest and most durable forms of finished wheels. Yes it will last longer than bare finished and paint alone. But keep in mind it's still salt and dirt getting stuck on the wheels

The higher and softer sidewalls help the tires opening their threads to let go of snow and maintain better traction.

I hear you on the salt man. Around here even Powder Coat does not resist the test of time of road ice melters and rims degrade in not time at all. A friend of mine keeps his winter rims seems filled with vaseline in the winter time. It actually is fairly effective at keeping the salt out of the tire lip and rim seem so rust does not impair the air tight seal with the tire. Has to be redone every time he washes his car but it does work so I'm throwing the idea to those who would like to try it.

There are some cheaper alloy wheels that can be selected for winter driving. I for sure would not be putting 2k$ worth of rims in the Winter salt... We have a few people selling their OEM rims on classifieds around here and I could source a great looking set for under 500$ which I am strongly thinking about for my winter wheels, unless I find some good looking 20" at which point I would use my current 17" for the Winter and put some good meat on the 20"s.
