Need help with Uconnect Radio Code please

Hi everyone,
I disconnected my battery and my Uconnect VP3 NA radio is asking for an anti-theft code. The local dealer is asking for a fee to provide it. Could anyone please help me get the code for free? Here are my device details:

• Radio Serial Number: T00BE114571650
• VIN (Chassis Number): ZFZ1C6RR7LM0F5704935
• Part Number: 68238621AG

Why do we need to buy a code to unlock our own radios?
Should we not have this code on purchase, if new?
I have not heard of this and certainly don’t have any such code for my 25 model…….

Dealer parts counter can provide it for free if they know what they are doing. You just take them the serial number and the VIN it's getting installed in.

The dealer is definitely an option, and some dealerships will even provide the code for free if they know the procedure. The downside is that many will ask you to call first, verify ownership, and sometimes schedule a visit before they can retrieve it.


If you already have the radio serial number, another option is an online decoding service. I used https://radiocodepro.com/ for a similar Uconnect unit and it was much faster than going through the dealership. It's not free, but it was cheaper and saved me the trip.

  3. Enter only the last 4 numbers of your radio serial.
     Do not enter the full serial number.
