Since I bought my truck I have learned so much about suspension, exhaust, lights, etc. , but audio is still completely new to me.

So, let me start out by saying I am looking to spend $300 or less including all harnesses and a new dash bezel if necessary.

I have the stock uConnect 130 HU currently, which looks somewhat like this:
system_lg_130_RES.jpg

What I want in a HU (Looking for a double din preferably):
Bluetooth or integrated iPhone 5s capabilities
Ability to download a Nav app (Cant afford the 100's of extra dollars for a GPS unit, so from my minimal research this seems like a good shortcut??)

Additional things I may need:
Harness to keep stock steering wheel controls (Part number??)
Harness to keep stock Alpine stereo system??? (Part number??)

Again, I am completely new to this side of things so any and all help is much appreciated!

Kenwood has the ability to use the nav off of the iPhone I believe. Your best bet is to check ebay. I was able to pick up a pioneer Avic Z1 for $250. The unit is about 5 years old or so but I bought a 60 gig hard drive with the 2012 maps for about $30. New it retailed for $2200. Deals are out there it just takes time and knowing what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info, I will definitely check out eBay, but you pretty much stated my problem: I don't know what to look for

Start by searching dvd head units on ebay. Then narrow down by brand from there. If you find new ones in your price range check Crutchfield and Amazon to see if they are cheaper. If you find an older model that you like Google the model and you'll be able to find what you can expand on it.

Sounds good, thanks. Any input on what is needed as far as harnesses or a new dash bezel?

People have been having luck just using the regular harness and taping into a keyed on power supply.

Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=330800991854

But if you want to retain your steering wheel controls you'll need something like this

It looks like most Kenwood dvd players will work with the iPhone 5

If you mean just the plain harness then possibly yes. I have read on here people that have successfully used just the plain harness and tapped Into a keyed on 12v source. If you notice that the doesn't have a red wire.

your gonna be hard pressed to find get everything for $300. You'll only have 150 bucks left for the head unit. You can use the cheaper harness to hook up a radio but it won't work with steering wheel controls (its missing to many other connections unless I'm mistaken)

$100 for mount and harness
Amazon.com: Metra 99-6518B Single/Double DIN Stereo Installation Dash Kit for 2013 Dodge Ram with Pocket & Interface: Car Electronics

$50 for steering wheel control harness
Amazon.com: Axxess Metra ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface with New Micro B Connector (Black): Electronics

I have everything your looking to do BUT the navigation part. I just put a mount on my dash and use Waze on my iPhone for navigation. Spotify runs on phone through Bluetooth and navigation directions and phone calls work through Bluetooth as well.

Hey how's it going, i have a pioneer avh 3300bt dvd headunit, it has bluetooth, a memory card slot and usb slot as well as auxilary jack, i had it in my 2010 dodge ram, but i recently traded that in on a 2013 black ram express. Let me know if you might be interested. it also includes the pac harness as well as the relay that allows playback while in motion and has the harness to plug right into the factory harness. and i have the microphone for the bluetooth, i am asking 260 for everything, the stereo is only about a year old. oh and it has the installation kit also.

1) if you have a steering wheel controls and want to keep them, the plain harness for $15 will not work. you need a can bus harness. if you have a base stereo, metra makes a can bus harness thats $45 and works great, only for non-amped factory stereos.

2) im not saying its impossible, but withe your budget your going to be hard pressed to pull this off (double din gps). your going to need at least $100 worth of harnesses and a dash kit (considering you dont want satellite radio), and the features you want in a double din head unit are going to be very difficult to find for $200. your probably going to need to up your budget before anyone can really help you pick a radio, i would figure at least $3-400 for the radio alone.
