Well I do have their upgraded spindles that are for more beefier than stock and mevotechs. What’s the gripe with having no front shocks? I haven’t had problems so far, so I’ll play devils advocate here.

Purpose of a spring is to absorb the bumps by letting the wheel go up and down. The purpose of the shock is to stop the wheel from continually going up and down like a trampoline after a bump. Ever seen a car pass you on the highway and the wheel is continually bouncing.? That is bad shocks. Now imagine NO shocks.

This is no shocks or bad shocks

So you can keep your factory coil and spring and add spacer to the coil probably. You may need to see if you would need a longer shock though because the coil will extended further

I’m really confused though because thunder says I have shocks but when I got back my OEM parts after the lift they gave me my 2 leveling shocks back along with 2 stock rear shocks.

Thats weird. Like U&A says, you would have shocks on all four corners. Thats mandatory. The Maxtrac lift you said you had had replacement rear coils and replacement rear shocks and replacement front spindles. So they shouldve given you your oem rear coils and rear shicks correct? Did you just happen to get new front shocks with the lift as well?

Well I originally had the Maxtrac 2.5 inch level before I got the lift and that kit came with shocks

Do you think the installer could’ve just realized there weren’t OEM shocks up front when they installed the lift so they left out front shocks all together?

You have to have them. I bet they are just not inside the coils. They are further in on the control arm. Harder to see

God I hope not...
You wouldve had the ********* ride in modern history if they removed your shocks though

Well then I don’t think that’s the case. My ride is about the same as stock. Maybe a bit more stiff. But not equivalent to blown suspension

Just an FYI,
“Blown suspension” is an incorrect term that the YouTube poster used. It was just bad shocks.

Yeah blown suspension would be comparable to the wheel wells dropping to the tires and just sitting on the tire lol

That 2.5 kit had replacement coils and shocks in what I see online. The mystery is if they put oem coils backin the front with oem shocks....OR did they leave your leveling coils and shocks in there...
I guess bottom line, just take pic of it.post it, revisit tomorrow

Ok so I turned my wheel yesterday and I do have shocks inside the coils up front. So I guess the spacer routes is my best option. Thanks for the input guys

If you didn't have shocks you wouldn't be driving it. There's no way they were left out and no a shock will not give you height only on strut applications. You have 2 choices 1 being a new set of springs to achieve the height you are looking for or simply a spacer. The only thing to make sure of is that whatever shock you have on it will be long enough for the extra lift. Being 1 inch only you want to add I doubt that will even be a concern
