Looking to buy some new tires soon and the TG's are in my price range. I'm curious how they do in light mud and snow so any personal experience with them would be appreciated.

I mean no A/T is good in mud... But I loved my TG. They handled snow pretty decently. But no A/T is going to astound you in mud.

In my opinion, they are great tires. Probably my favorite A/T. I say get them. Just don't expect them to get you through a swamp

Right and I'm not looking for an AT to perform like a MT just one that will do decent. My hankook dynapro's did pretty good in light mud, that's why I was curious. How is the tire wear on them?

I'm interested to see what others say about snow performance.. everything I've read points to, they aren't a snow tire, but they'll work for many people. Keep in mind they don't have the mountain/snowflake symbol so if your road requires snow tires, these don't qualify.

I've been very happy with my TGs since I bought them last year. They ride quietly, handle well on road and are such a smooth riding tire. I'm so impressed by alternate engineering that went into toyo/nitto tires to make sure you don't need massive weights to make them balance.

See I've read they're not very good in snow too and I don't require actual snow tires just something that will go threw snow.

I ran Toyo ATs back in 2007-2010 as all seasons, I think the tread is similar, and I was very happy with how they performed.. I hope these handle as well considering I'm about 2000lbs heavier in my 3500MC vs my 1500QC.

My biggest thing at this point is tread life and wear. I went threw my BFG A/T's in just over 10k miles and my Hankooks about 29k. How many miles are you guys getting out of the TG's?

I got 50k out of mine and could have easily got a couple more thousand out of them. Rotated every 6k. On my 2nd set now.

Holy cow that's pretty good. I assume no occasional smoking of the tires were performed lol

I have only run the Nitto Terra Grapplers on my last 2 trucks. This will be the 4th set I have run. I have been getting about 40-50k miles out of them, and that is an 8 ply tire on my diesel trucks. They will last even longer on a lighter half ton. I have driven my truck through Colorado multiple times, and we even went playing around in the snow last year. The truck handled it great. I do not take my truck in mud though, so I cant offer any insight there. They do awesome in soft sand though.

I have about 20,000KM on my current TerraGrapplers, they still look new...

BFGs have a reputation for lasting a long time. It really depends on the health of your front end and how closely you manage the air pressure in the tires. My last BFGs started chunking before they were worn out so I don't have a good mileage estimate as to how long they'd last.

Agree on the mileage. Mine lasted 40-50k on my 06 Cummins which is heavier than a 1500. I would expect you to get much better than I did. Sand - Great. Street - Great. Mud - Ok. Snow - Good (IMO with what I deal with).

If I ever went back to an A/T I'd run Nitto Terra no doubt and maybe Toyo Open Country A/T if I couldnt get a hold of TG

I just got a used set of Terras for my 1 ton. Hoping they work for a couple years (they should as I only drive 5-10k per year)

I did like my trail grapplers that were on my dodge though but wanted more highway tire for the new truck.
