I had big plans, but i'm holding off now. Just found out that we're going to fleet vehicles, and i won't be able to keep my truck as long as i had hoped.. 2 more years max.

That said, i won't be lifting, bigger gears, 35's, etc any more. :(

BUT, i do want to level and get more aggressive tires at least. Most likely going to go Toyo OC as i like the tread pattern and the pricing.

Given stock height for a 2WD (plus 2 or 2.5" level), and the fact that i'm a 3.55 and i tow a lot (5300#) in hilly land... What is the biggest tire you guys think i could go on stock rims, stock height, and not lose too much power? 33 too big? Could i go 295/60?

Let me know what size you recommend, or if you recommend stock size, or etc. I'm tire illiterate so if you could recommend that actual metric sizes, that'd be awesome. LOL.

assuming you have factory 20's the stock tires are pretty much 33's, 295/60/20 looks great on a leveled ram

Yeah, factory 20x8s..

Went out and looked, looks like i actually have a 275/60R20 right now.. so not far off. Looks to be a 33", you're right.

I'll go with 295/60's if you guys don't think i'll have any drivability issues.

Any issues running 1/4" spacers? I read all over the place. Some like them, some dont. Might not need them as i have the 8" wide OEM rim.. but.. i do like the look. If they are safe, i'll do it..

I think the factory rims are 9 inch eh? Dunno for sure. You should be able to get 35s under there with a 2.0 level easily and 1/4 inch spacers (thats my plan). Or some of the 35 Nitto trails measure out at only 34 inches tall.

The chrome are 20x9, the non-chrome are 20x8. I have the non-chrome..

I'm not so worried with largest for fit.. I'm more worried about drivability. 35's aren't going to work with pulling the trailer.

If factory size is 33, then i'll throw 33's on it and call it a day.

the big thing with spacers is getting hub centric spacers, even better would be to get hub and wheel centric spacers, just my slightly wider tires (285/60) stick out close to an inch on stock wheels if that's the look your going for and they push me to about a 33.25-33.5 tire

275/60 =about 33,275/65=close to 34, 285/60=33.5, 295/60=34, 295/65=35
275= about 10.75 wide, 285 about 11.25, 295 about 11.75, that site is pretty accurate, I just rounded off numbers to get better perspective

Ultra helpful, thank you! Your truck looks great.

I wonder if i shouldn't stick with 285/60.. Just worried about power loss.

What about 275 65r20 leveled. There is a pretty big market with the alterrain tires that size many options to choose from and you won't lose much with towing gain about 1 in and more aggressivenes.
