So I'm new the forum but im a long time Ram owner...I'm looking at getting more aggressive, noisy, mud tires for my truck im soo tired of the BFG MT I currently have on my truck I really want to get Nitto Mud Grapplers but i have heard and seen that the wear out really quick, and seeing as how i put about 5000 miles a month on my truck I need something that will last longer than 5000 miles lol....i was wondering if any Ram 1500 single cab short bed 4x4 owners have had any better luck since its a lighter truck than say a 2500 please let me know with any input

thanks guys

I've had the mud grapplers almost 5k miles now and they are wearing great. They are noisy, I'll vouch for that!

Then I had Toyo MT's .... loved these tires but only put 1k on them before selling the truck ... so cant really review them but they seemed great .

i had toyo mt's and they are not that loud but they are a great tire for wear. I had over 20,000 miles on them when i sold the truck and they still had 1/2 the tread left.

I don't have much experience with mud tires, but have heard good things about Toyo MT's.

About 4 years ago, I test drove an 06 ram with Wild Country RVT mud terrain tires. Those suckers were loud. You could hear the tires whining a mile away LOL here's a pic. They were 33x12.5x17

Super Swampers are loud too and often fairly light for a M/T tire. I have a fried with SSRs and he loves them.

Mickey Thompson Baja Claws are real noisy, look mean and last a good long time, if you rotate, balance and keep the air pressure good in them.

I've ran 3 sets of 33" mud grapplers on my 05 quad cab. I've got over 20,000 miles on each set, with one set almost making 30k. I'll be buying more mud grapplers in the future.

Oh god, I think the mudd grapplers are too pricey to only get 20k out if a set..... IMO. The owner of the auto shop I got my tires from has 35k on a set like mine and still has over 1/4 tread left.....

Droid Incredible 2 on the move!!!

And I'm disappointed about only getting about 30k out of a set of coursers lol
My girlfriends dad puts on similar miles to you with his Cummins, all he runs is dynapro mt's

Your welcome. I still remember that truck coming down the road after the salesman filled it up and hearing those RTVs whine LOL Looking forward to seeing what you got in store for your truck (or the cummins ;))

I'm on my second set of Toyo M/T's. I had a set of 35's and they were on the truck for only about 5k miles before I sold them and a set of wheels to a buddy. He's put about 36k on them and they still have a decent amount of tread left. Not too loud either. I now have a pair of 38" Toyos. They only have about 500 miles on them. If that...so can't report on them yet.
