I just ordered a new 2020 classic tradesman crew cab 4x4 and the first thing I want to do is wheels and tires and I have a few questions. It comes with 17x7 fugly steel wheels and 265 75 r17 street tires.

I want cheap black 17x8 wheels and 285 70 r17 all terrains. Where can I find inexpensive black wheels that will fit without issue?

is there a market for take off tires and wheels for me to sell to offset cost?

will 285 70 r17 tires fit without issues on stock tradesman?

thanks!

I sell my leftover oem parts quickly on Craigslist.

Sadly my tire deal did not go so well.
Used a/t, tpms and oem 20s. I only got $250. Took months.

Well 16" tires won't fit 17" wheels...

But yeah I didn't like the square window 17x7 steel wheels that came on my 15 Tradesman so I sold them with the tires for $450 (in january 2016) and got 17x8" oem wheels from a 2003 Ram 1500 for $80 and mounted 255/80R17 tires on them... Then when I wore those out went to 285/70R17 which is very slightly smaller diameter.

If you want black wheels you may have fewer options in finding OEM 17" take offs.. You could do paint or powder coat but there is a cost or quality trade off there.

Found some wheelskins that will fit for $75. Thinking of trying that for a bit to make sure I like blacked out look. Truck is dark grey with black bumpers.

Or are wheelskins too embarrassing to use.

It's your truck man only one opinion matters about how it looks!

I guess I’m asking can you tell that they are wheelskins? I’ve never seen any up close and if I go that route it will save me $600 plus right now.

If you got a $10 truck, then sure, throw $10 wheelskins on there ... Not me
