Picked up the truck today from the other dealer.. go to pick it up and see they washed it and fueled it. A+ right there in my book. Service guy was very upfront with what was going on...

List of parts replace
1. Camshaft
2. All Lifters
3. new head gaskets
4. cylinder head cover gaskets
5. all seals to front rear and top of motor
6. intake gasket
7. fresh oil and filter
8. coolant flush

Mechanics write up:
Drove Veh and verified noise from engine, also runs rough. checked for codes and found stored P0303 #3 misfire checked noise for noise with a stethoscope and found noise mainly on left side of engine. Ran misfire monitor and found at higher rpm it would count misfires on #3 cylinder. noise sounded like possible lifter noise. removed left walvecover and checked for rocker arm or valve sping damage. none found. removed left cyl head and lifters and found one of the lifters rollers locked up and caused damage to the camshaft. removed right cyl head, timing cover and oil pan...

All in all I'm alot happier. and glad to have my truck back.... man I missed driver her...

Glad to hear they got it worked out for you. I went a whole week without my Ram once... and I had to drive a Cavalier! You talk about missing your truck? I almost cried when they handed me my keys back! Longest week of my life... A Cavalier! I drove a freaking Cavalier!

Good thing you left it stock and didn't put a tuner on it. They never would have done all that if you had. Congratulations :favorites13: that is some serious warranty work.

I had the GF's eco-box corolla with no power windows and the littlest hampster under the hood possible since I finally killed my blazer's tranny (so the SAS conversion begins on that) but I hate her car and everyday try to convince her that now is a good time to go buy that charger to haul jr in when he comes...

but I know not all dealerships aren't bad. I have done a bit of business with the one I bought the truck from. Just wasn't happy with the outcome.. told the service guy at the good dealer and he looked at me dumbfounded and asked me to repeat that that they actually told you that... the was and fuel is what tells me they are a class A shop.

But I figure I'll be soft on her to set the cam in on the bearings...
