New Fobiks won’t lock/unlock

Hello folks, I’ve recently bought my first ever truck, a 2017 RAM Hemi 5.7L Tradesman from a dealer auction. I believe it was a bank repo because it arrived with tons of personal items all over the seats and inside console and dirty along with a brand new valet key and no fobik.
I bought 2 Brand new OEM fobiks and had them programmed by a professional. Both Fobiks do start the engine but won’t lock/unlock doors or remote start the engine.
The programmer also suggested that it’s a repo and the repo people might have disabled the RF Hub (so the alarm won’t keep going off) which is why the fobiks are not communicating with the vehicle.
I’m new at this and totally clueless. Any help/advise will be appreciated.

Perhaps your truck isn't equipped with Remote Start or Locking/Unlocking: if it's a Tradesman, I'm guessing it doesn't, though I might be wrong. Using your VIN, you need to verify the options your truck came with.

Edit: According to the 2017 brochure, the Tradesman does not come with Remote Start. Also, Remote Locking/Unlocking are only included if your truck has the Popular Equipment Group or the Power & Remote Entry Group.

As stated by others your truck may not have come with the remote unlock option but that doesn't mean it cannot be added. There is a good chance you can enable the feature with the Alfa too IF your truck has power door locks and power windows. I'm not sure if or why a tow company would disable features in the RF hub and the Tradesman is not equipped with the alarm from the factory. All that being said you can purchase the Alfa tool and an OBD Link MX OBD adapter and enable the RKE ( Remote Keyless Entry) system in your BCM. If you have power locks and power windows I'm thinking it should work. This is a pic of the RKE code in the Alfa too.
