Finally got the axle installed on my truck! Took 3 days but we got it done! I now officially am riding with 3.92's :********:

I took it for a test drive earlier and it is amazing the difference!!

It was a workout before getting it to 3000 rpm, now it's doing it in 1st gear lightly hitting the gas.

Only thing though is that the BRAKE light and ABS light are staying illuminated on the dashboard. Only thing I can think of is that the speed sensor on the back needs to be swapped with the one off the original axle. It is also making the speedo act a little funky but it's still working and accurate. Any ideas?

I'll update how it runs once I get out on the road without my dad in the passenger seat lol

What exactly is your speedometer doing now?
There could be something wrong with the sensor in the axle you just put in. I would go ahead and swap them out like you said and see what happens.

It's staying at 0 til about 25 mph then kicks up really fast to the current speed. Like I said, it's still accurate just doing that. It stays normal above 25 mph

i like my 3.92 gears. they seem to be a good all around ratio.

318 or 5.2 which ever you want
You changed gears and you comp cant figure out why the rear sensor is turning at a diff rate now hence the ABS light, your RED brake light means you have an actual brake problem, prob lost some pressure on the back causing the switch in the combo valve up front. You may have to "leak" a little pressure off the front to get the switch too go back to center position.
http://www.fordification.com/board/brakeblock-valve.jpg Thats a ford valve but ours work just like it, when pressure is lost on one end it moves the plunger and sets off red brake light, sometimes they stick and need to be centered again.

Thanks man, we're gonna bleed the brakes here shortly so hopefully that'll fix the issue. Is there anyway I can make the ABS light go off or will I just have to live with it? I don't mind it being on all the time, as long as that doesn't interfere with the ABS actually working.

Bled the brakes and it fixed the problem. The line going into the brake line block on top of the axle was leaking a bit. Got it tightened up, bled the brakes more, filled it with fluid and it's all working perfect now! So no more BRAKE or ABS lights!

Everything is working flawlessly! I am amazed at the difference in performance! Put it to the floor and it'll whip your head back :naughty: Think I already got a little bit of whip lash... Lol

Thanks to everyone for the tips and advice throughout it all! And I'll say this is one of the best things you can do performance wise, besides a supercharger... lol

Can't wait to take it to the track now :D
