New Guy Question - Roll-X Install

So I just purchased my 2015 RAM the other night - and already ordered the Roll-X Tonneau cover for it. Quick question on the install - do I need to use the "shims" when I install the cover or is it fine without them?

Can't wait to get this in and installed in the truck! Many more mods to come.

I needed the shims on my 2500 in order for the cover to sit flat and tight. I installed it without first and had to order them and reinstall. Love the cover.
