I have gone through 3 different sets of LED fog lights. First set was Alla Lighting, second set was Lighting dark, 3rd set was Sealight. On all three sets none of the locking ring tabs lined up with my stock housing. Looking form the back of stock lights and the leds, the tabs are different shapes. I want to make my fog lights led to match my headlights. Any suggestions on a good replacement? All lights were bought off of Amazon.

I have same issue with headlights. The bulbs never locked in.

After multiple cheap brands. I finally went with underground lighting. Well worth the extra cost.

Try Hikari 9006 LED, I found they fit pretty well and had a great beam pattern.

Those will fit my truck, when everything I have seen says it requires h10?

The correct bulb for the vertical fog lights is a 9006. I'm not sure if H10 is an equivalent or not but I would stick with a 9006. Hikari 9006 LEDs should work fine in your fogs. For the price you won't find a better LED bulb[emoji106]

JDM AStar is also another good bulb.

I have the Headlight Revolution SuperNova V2 6000K LEDs (9006) and they are super bright, still running strong when I pulled them to replace with LED cubes.

Hmm, they’re for sale too ;)

H10, HB3, 9005 9140, 9145 & 9155 are all the same base but different wattages. A 9006 is an HB4View attachment 211866

Just for clarity a 9006 will not fit?I just wanna make sure I get this right, tired of ordering and sending back. The tabs (ears) on the previous led fog lights I ordered are at a different angle and location compared to the halogen base.Sorry for the hassle.

The vertical fog lights on the 1500s use 9006 bulbs. If you have Quad headlights the lows are H11 the highs are 9005.
For the OEM projector headlights on 2016-20, the lows and highs are 9005, looking at the cross reference the H10 fit also. The 2013-15 trucks use a H12 for the low beam in the projectors.

The reason the bulb doesn't fit, probably you choose the wrong bulb sizes, for different Ram 1500' trims, the bulb size is different, please check below bulb size guide:

Dodge Ram 1500 Fog Lights Bulbs Size:
for the vehicle with vertical shape fog lens: 9006 fog lights bulb

for the vehicle with horizontal shape fog lens: H10 9145 fog lights bulbs

  • for 2019-2021 Ram 1500 fog lights bulbs (for the vehicle with halogen capsule headlamps): H11 fog lights bulb
For other bulb types for Dodge Ram 1500, check Ram 1500 bulb sizes guide for fast bulb finder.

Graygoose - I just looked up the HEISE LED's and it says on their website that they are 6000 lumens. I've read on here that the Hikari bulbs are 12000 lumens. Does that mean that they are twice as bright as the HEISE. Also, HEISE doesn't show a 9006 bulb. Which ones did you use? Thanks

Just an FYI, for the 09-12 Rams, you can also install a 9005 into the fog lights. The “tabs” are a teeny tiny bit different but if you angle the biggest of the 3 tabs into its spot first and slightly turn it, the other 2 line up and click on. By using 9005, it opens up way more options compared to the H10/9145 as most company’s do not make this size because 9005 also fits so they just make and sell the 9005.

I know this because I have installed 3 different brand led bulbs into my fogs over the past couple years and all 3 I ordered 9005 and like I said, if you put the big tab into its slot first, and slightly turn to tighten it, the other 2 smaller tabs will “fall” into place and allow you to fully lock the bulb. The plugs are identical and I’ve never had issues of the bulb coming loose or shaking or not working.
