New Leveling Kit

Alright, so it's time for me to buy a front end leveling kit. I have a few questions first. Are steel better than poly?(heard that the poly settle) Do I need to replace the rubber isolator? Do I need new shocks with just a 2inch level? I am planning on buying the two inch spacer from HBS. My front end sags a bit from the brushguard, and the front end will have to be realigned right? Any input and pictures of trucks with spacers and installation would be great!

I went with a HBS 2.5 inch level and it lines up almost spot on. I had the poly level on my 2wd ford. It did settle and I lost about a quarter of an inch on the front. You will use the stock rubber isolator and reinstall that. You don't neeeeed new shocks idont think but you're already down there so get some that apply for the amount of lift you go with. For example, I got rancho shocks for 0-2 inches of lift. Get an alignment afterwards and your set!




There's some angles for ya and you can see the shocks but not the spacers very well. Ill try and get some close ups for ya.

Thanks man, what was the install like? Did you put anything on the rear either?

Install was super simple because of those shock towers.
Basically remove the shock. Compress the spring. Remove the shock tower. Pull the spring out. This is where it got fun, I had to jack up the front end some more to get the spring and the spacer to both fit in there but it wasn't much more. And then install the shock tower and shock and all that. That's basically in a nut shell don't follow those directions as I did that almost a year ago. Lol I followed a write up from some site I think here maybe. But I didn't do anything to the rear because it would be unlevel and I'd be back to square one. Lol I do intend to replace the rear shocks though as mine are starting to go out and I want them to match.

If you find where you followed those instructions, it would be great if you could point me in that direction. You had to put the frame up on jack stands and then lower the front axle with a floor jack right? If someone could find a step by step picture thread or set of instructions, that would be great
