Hello! I have been looking for a truck for a while now. Initially I was dead set on getting myself a Silverado, and test drove a few. The styling was better than Ford's inside and out, but despite my efforts it was hard to find a newer, low miles one equipped how I wanted for less than $30k. Even though I have always liked the style of the Rams, I never really considered one because I was always told they were not reliable and I was almost guaranteed to need a new transmission early on.
Then one day I happened upon an ad for a 2019 1500 Classic, crew cab, hemi, 4wd, 20k miles, with some options I liked and <$30k. I said F it and went to take a look. I mean, it's a 2019 with the remainder of factory warranty on it, so there is that cushion if something were to go wrong in the first few years of ownership. After looking it over, checking the carfax, and test driving I pretty much was set on this vehicle. After a few hours at the dealership, I signed some papers and drove home in my new to me 2019 Ram 1500 classic. It has been 2 weeks so far and I can't say I have any complaints.
Already have some weathertech liners being delivered for it. Aside from that, near future things I will be getting are side steps (wife it a bit shorter than me, so its a climb for her to get into it), and a cover for the bed. Thinking of an inexpensive ladder rack that can come on and off easily for my kayak (13.5', so just throwing it in the bed is out of the question), and maybe a level later in the front. Tires still have a lot of tread, so when it comes time for new tires might do wheels as well, but we shall see.
