New S&B CAI (Modded)

So, I just installed my S&B CAI today and I got to thinkin about other little things I could do to dress up my engine bay. Here's what I came up with. Le t me know what you think.

That's pretty slick! If I do that I'm going with orange to follow the HEMI color. Are you planning to add more in other locations?

I'm planning on doing some painting in the engine bay. Engine cover, fan shroud, colored hoses etc. I might do something withe engine cover but I don't want it to Christmassy if you know what I mean. I did do the led ram eyes on the tailgate already.

Haha. I thought about doing a strobe effect on the tailgate eyes but I figured that would be pushing my luck with the coppers in my area.

As far as the CAI lights, I bought some waterproof 5050 strip led's from Lighthouseleds.com. Click Here for the site. I originally tapped into my hood lamp but today I bought a remote controlled box so that I can turn them off and on whenever I want versus having them on every time the hood is up. I bought the controller from PUR Performance since it's right up the road from me but you can get the box from a Superbrightleds.com. (Part # RC-RF1) Click Here for link. Hope this is what you were looking for.

I'm going to try and do a writeup on the CAI lights but I've been moving a friend all day and it's been kind of crazy.

Hey man im getting that same intake can you tell me how you got the blue led install in their. My Ram is the same blue as yours.

I installed them. Drilled two VERY small holes on the side and ran my wires through. Attached the lights to the inside of the box. Wired to a remote control fob switch and then to a power source. Fairly simple mod.

I really like it. It looks really nice under the hood and performs very well. Hope your install goes smooth. Mine did.
