New speaker wire for front doors

I wanted to get you guys opinion on the best and easiest way to get new speaker wire into the front doors. I know people try to deal with the connector and boot and I have heard it is a major PITA. So any ideas would be appreciated.

There is two screws holding the rubber boot to the door remove those and it comes off easy. On the cab side it is pessure fitted with 4 push clips 2 on top and 2 on the bottom if i remember correctly.

Take boot off like BlkRamRt said it takes a few mins to push wires through but it defiently a lot cleaner than running them any other way. Just heads up I have some pretty hefty 12awg running through there and anything bigger might not fit.

pull kick panel, find OEM factory wiring to door speaker.

Pull speaker out of door.
Tie new audio wire to the factory wire, cut it, and pull factory wire out speaker whole, dragging the new audio wire in place.

so is this a connector or a grommet? Been trying to get this answer for a while. Waiting for warmer weather to hit a salvage yard and break theirs!

How did you tie the wires together?
