New tire time 2018 PW w/Goodyear wrangler duration lt285/70r17

It's time to start thinking about some new rubber for my PW. I don't really care for the ride of the wranglers, and have always been partial to Michelin. Does Michelin make an offroad/highway variant that will last, give a decent highway cruise, and get me out of the mud when I need it ? The LT2's don't appear to have very aggressive tread, anybody have a solution in mind ?

Michelin truck/SUV tires are pretty tame and I doubt they'd perform well in medium to severe off road conditions. Better suited for pavement, service-type roads of gravel, packed dirt, or on turf.

Depends on what you will do with truck, e.g. If you're going to off road, slog in the mud, climb rock then you need a good MT. More hiway and little to moderate off road, then an AT type may be more suitable. Wil you be towing? Plenty of makes and brands available. Quality varies and so does pricing. As for me, I don't spend a great deal of time off road, I don't thrash the truck when off road, and when off road it's usually camping, fishing or hunting, so I get to those areas on access or service roads. I'm running Toyo CTs and they are fine for what I do, perform well on wet/dry pavement, and a decent ride. Would likely get stuck in sloppy mud, but I don't seek out that sort of terrain condition either.

Shop around, read reviews, plenty of folks here running different set ups

I'm getting close for new rubber myself, I re-shoed my earlier RAM 1500 with Nitto Trail Grapplers of a near stock size they were great overall and lasted till I traded for the PW. I'm looking at Nitto for my '18 PW with an increase in size that will still fit in the spare rack

I agree with @SeppW, you need to decide what type of tire suits your needs and driving styles.
A/T tires usually do everything okay and nothing Great, M/T’s are great off road in the mud and muck but generally are treacherous in the rain and snow. Look for something with a lug design with sipping and close block pattern maybe a hybrid Andy you’ll Ben fine.

Charlie, just reshoed my 2017 Rebel. I had 285/70/17 Toyo A/Ts which I got right at 70K out of. I did a lot of researching and decided with the 305/70/17s A/T3. The tires have a nice aggressive tread which pics didn't do them justice. Now the A/T 3s come in a R/T which is between the A/T3s and M/Ts.

I have the Toyo R/Ts on my truck and my dad just got a 4x4 ecoboost and he put on Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I saw them today up close and they are a good looking tire. He is happy with them and he is super picky.
