They're a great tire. Been running mine up here in central Minnesota for years. You lose a bit of mileage ~ 1.5 mpg, but for good traction in all conditions, it's worth it. If you're not just on open highway al the time, that is.
I needed something for multiple conditions; highway, gravel, fields, rain, winter. All the reviews/comments led me to pick these as the best all-around tire for me.

This is a breakdown of the Discover series from the discontinued ATW to the AT3 XLT - I took from it that the AT3 4S is the replacement for the ATW (aka ATW +4).
Either Cooper ATW or AT3, both perform perfectly on and off-road conditions. Well, the bad news is Cooper ATW is discontinued. In that case, I will compare the closest AT3 version out of 3(4s, LT, and XLT). At the same time, I will briefly inform you about the current Cooper Discoverer line-up...

As with all the responses I had the ATW +4 on my 150 and now I have the AT3 4S. I live it the capital district in upstate NY and see the full spectrum of weather conditions. I have always found these tires to manage all conditions excellently.
PS, I find the 4S hooks up much better that the factory tire did in the summer months as well. So if you are looking for tires to roast try another lessor tire, but if you want to launch hard even in damp conditions then these will do the job an then some.....
In short the 16 year old in my brain hates these tires because they are not as easy to spin as the original wranglers. On the other hand I get a better launch out of the hole....
I had the truck on the track at 4 months old and it pulled 15.063/93mph at about 6000lbs total weight. I am thinking I can launch harder on the track with these and get better times at the same weight, just haven't put the time aside to make the trip over on a Wednesday night for test and tune.
I’ve had my AT/x for about a year and 18k miles. They have exceeded my expectations in every condition, including wet, dry, snow and even some towing mixed in. At 18k they show no signs of any appreciable wear and I’d guess they’ll end up easily going 60k plus. They would easily be my choice if I needed a new set of tires.
