New to forum, looking for answers

good day.

Sold my 2021 Warlock hemi 1500 to my son, bought a new 2025 Rebel GT 1500 3.0L hurricane I6. Beautiful truck, nothing but issues in the 8700kms I’ve put on it. Mileage is garbage, WAY worse than the hemi but advertised and sold as way better. Hooked up to a trailer once (after the recall on trailer brakes got fixed) and lost phone connectivity. Soft reset the infotainment and got it back. Now a couple weeks later I’m boosting it twice a day (waiting to get into dealership) and getting weird electrical issues like wipers going for no reason, dash messages about “stop/start not ready cabin cooling or heating”, red alert email about driver assistance, engine fan going ape **** with normal temps….

Any comforting advice or did I just throw $92,000 CAD down the toilet

I’m not familiar with Canada law - but if your country has one (or your province?), I’d research if there is a vehicle lemon law. Determine if your vehicle fits the definition and if so, contact an attorney.

Nice looking truck. Stick with it. It can be solved and will be. The mileage would concern me the most. What octane are you running? I run 92 and get better gas mileage then Ram claims. I know it is new but try some fuel cleaner. I've had good luck with it in the past. One really bad batch of gas and you could be running with partially clogged injectors.

I live in the USA and my state’s vehicle lemon law includes reasonable attorney fees for the consumer, paid by the manufacturer (if the vehicle is determined to be a lemon).

If you guys buy a vehicle in one state, move to another, which Lemon Laws apply. The one where you bought it, or where your residence is? If it is the later, I can see it paying off to move to a State with stronger Lemon laws, even if only temporarily, given how expensive pickups are now.

I believe the way that works is the law is applicable in the state where it was purchased if it's strictly a "Lemon" issue - Not anything related to recalls because that's a federal law based thing concerning consumer safety.
I could be wrong about that but it would make sense since what would apply at the time of purchased would be the laws where the transaction to buy the vehicle actually took place (Originated), not where the vehicle wound up being later since one could move at anytime AND their lawyers can easily point out the next state's own laws do not apply (No jurisdiction) in the state where it was purchased originally.

If anyone knows of a case/example going differently, that would be good to know here.

There is a sensor inside the cabin that reads the temperature. If it is not where it should be, based on your settings, will disable the Auto Start/Stop when you stop at lights, etc., until the appropriate temperature is reached. The remaining items I cannot offer any advise for.

I know this sounds simplistic, but I would have your battery checked. A funky battery cause strange issues. Especially a battery with slightly low voltage.

OP: You have (2) batteries,. a smaller Stop/Start and Regular bigger 12V. Have the smaller stop/start battery checked, as that battery going bad will draw down the entire system and cause all sorts of issues.

Sorry to hear of your grief.

Unfortunately, as you may be aware, according to this 2025 article, Quebec is the only province with a lemon law.

It sounds like AMVIC, the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council & CANVAP, the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan, are useless. I've read in one of these articles that participation in CANVAP is voluntary, and Fiat/Chrysler is not a member.

I recall reading that many of the 2025+ trucks with the Atlantis High electrical system issues have been corrected with software updates. And as usual, not all the dealerships seem to be on the same update notification list.

To that end, I would first try contacting the Canadian version of RamCares and see if they can facilitate a solution.





If your truck is suffering from mysterious current draws that are consuming the standard underhood 12-Volt battery, you might consider adding an underhood battery minder like the NOCO 2D. CTC regularly has this device on sale, FYI.
