Hey all wahts up i bought my 02 ram 1500 SLT with the 5.9L about 4 years ago. not sure how many people and owned it before me. its been my daily since then. the miles are up to about 148k and it has given me a fair amount of issues but the bugs are worked out of it now and its a reliable daily driver!
little about myself. I'm 23 been in the navy since i was 18, thats 6 years almost. currently on my 4th deployment. I also have a 1997 mustang GT (hince my name) single turbo on a forged small block with some heads and cams making about 600 at the wheels, I have a 2002 Harley XL1200c that i use to put around on in the summers, and i have a 97 CBR 600 F3 that i use to haul ass around in in the summer.
here are a few major problems ive had and corrected so far
Transmission, which i hear is all to common. changed it out myself and blew the new one in a week. thank got for warranty, then i found out my check valve in the cooler was clogged. new cooler and deleted the check valve and its about 50k flawless miles now.
ring and pinion have stripped out twice on me. im sure thats my fault from mudding.
transfer case cracked in half once--again my fault bounced it off a rock.
recently ordered a lot of shiny new parts too! from www.moes-perfomance.com founda thread on this site off of google with them giving info, and they helped me out a lot!
anyways ordered a set of 4:10's for the front (rear has them already) and a auburn LSD for the rear, a set of super swamper trXus 35" tires to replace my old but trusty BFG's and a new a/c compressor lol.
