Ok I bought a 7 month old black painted mopar fiberglass tonneau cover for my truck today and love the look but worry about possible limitations... I originally was searching for a bakflip or a mopar hard folding tonneau but came across this kinda local and pulled the trigger. I'm now wondering if I would have a chance of finding someone that has what I want and wants what I have lol and is local .... or do I just deal with less function and be happy with the look....?

The upside of what you have is that it will probably never leak and it is secure. The downside is you can't carry anything over about 24" tall and still be able to close the cover. Some days I really like mine, but when I want to haul anything I hate it----Good luck

I love having the soft roll back. Truxedo Lo Pro. Even after a car wash barely any water gets inside and unless you cut it you can't open it without the tail gate being unlocked. And I can haul stuff as tall as I want haha.

Personally I'd never go with one of those covers. I use my box so often that it would be in the way all the time. I just bought a cheap soft tri fold and it does the job.

I bought the Extang full tilt. It flips open, or rolls open. I can remove it in 3 minutes by myself for full access to the box.

I have the Mopar Hard Trifold and I love it.I thought about the one you have but as you said your limited as to what you can haul but it looks cool.:)

Maybe post it up for sale and see if you can get some or all of your money back and get what you really want.

The Undercover Flex tonneau is very versatile but rather pricey at $750 or so. I try to keep what I carry beneath it for good gas mileage but in the event I can't there are a few options to place the tonneau in folded positions, one where you can still see out of the rear glass. I would just keep what you have but if someone will pay you for it you can upgrade/change.

I went with the pergaon. I live down a dirt road so i wanted something color matched. I also have to haul full size trashcans to the end of my driveway (~3 mi) so i liked having something easily retractable/removable. I don't know about water tight yet as i live in California and it will apparently never rain here again...

Exactly why my new one has a Bakflip, hard cover had too many limitations.

How well does that cover keep water out? I had a one piece hard cover that was great on my last truck, but now want a hard folding cover. However I need water tight.

Same here. I can pop it off fold it up and fill the truck with whatever and have the tru fold in the pan with the stuff I'm hauling.

i hate those covers. grandfather bought a truck with one years ago and within a week he ripped it off and to this day it's sitting in the weeds behind the barn

the folding covers are decent but you still lose a little bed space which is why i went with a roll up. still have my entire bed and it actually does a pretty good job keeping things dry and i had zero snow getting in last winter which was the main reason i wanted a cover

Loving my Undercover Lux! Paint match is perfect. It has a light, it locks, and it keeps everything dry. Watch the video on how easy it is to take off if you need to haul something. It only weighs about 60lbs and even comes with the hook mounts to hang it on the garage wall when not in use. That's the cover I went with on the last Ram I had. Loved everything about it except not being able to haul larger items without going through the take off/reinstall process.
